I know what you mean. I did not stick to the original object enough, e.g. the porcelain is way shinier and contrasty than it really was.
But it was a lot of fun discovering the beauty of reflections (which is visible as you instantly liked that about the drawing ^^)...
So another reason for a good result on the clock is that it does not shine
